Team Real Racing Delivers Podiums and Championships During Standout 2025 Trophy Truck Season

RANCHO CUCAMONGA CA – Falken Tires proudly recognizes Michael Scafuto and Team Real Racing following a highly successful 2025 off-road racing season. Competing across premier desert racing events throughout the year, Scafuto and his team delivered consistent top-tier performance, podium finishes, and championship results while running on 40" Falken Wildpeak Race Compound M/T01.
Throughout the 2025 season, Real Racing demonstrated speed, durability, and resilience in some of the most demanding racing conditions in North America. The team closed out the year with a strong showing in the final event: Legacy Racing Association’s 2025 Desert Showdown. Scafuto finished second in the Unlimited Truck Class against legendary competitor, Rob MacCachren, finishing just five seconds behind.

During the Desert Showdown race, Scafuto and co-driver Kevin McGilroy led for nearly half the event and remained on pace for the overall win until a jagged rock caused a sidewall flat at mile 200 shifting the outcome. The team lost nearly 5 minutes when the wheel and tire change was complicated by deteriorated course conditions, forcing the team to reposition and re-jack the vehicle multiple times.

Despite the setback, the team charged back to secure a second-place finish, missing the win by only five seconds, while maintaining an average pace just under 64 miles per hour and reaching a top speed of 125.8 miles per hour. Scafuto and McGilroy finished the intense 250-mile race with a 03:31:51.150.
2025 Season Highlights
At The Mint 400, Scafuto captured first place in the Unlimited All Wheel Drive class and finished third overall on corrected time among all Unlimited trucks. The team outpaced several top competitors on time and completed the event without a single flat tire.

In the Unlimited Race Series, Team Falken secured first place in the year-end standings.

Within the Legacy Racing Association, the team tied for fourth place overall with 382 points, despite missing two of five races due to injury, underscoring the competitiveness of the program across multiple sanctioning bodies.

Reflecting on the season and partnership, Michael Scafuto shared his appreciation for the team behind the results.
“First, huge thank you to the entire Falken team. We are very proud to fly the Falken livery and represent them as a competitive Trophy Truck team. We truly value and appreciate the partnership,” said Scafuto. “Special thanks to Bakari Howard and Eric Carlos for the day to day support. 2025 flew by with a lot of excitement, a lot of podiums, and a lot of confidence in our Falken tires. Even with the challenges, it was a flawless season in terms of performance, and we definitely turned some heads with our speed.”
