Successful April For Falken Tires Off-Road Motorsports Teams
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA – Falken Tires’ Off-Road Motorsports team has continued its winning ways during the month of April.
In the early part of the month, Falken veteran Cole Mamer had two of his drivers sharpening their own skills at the Great American Short Course (GAS) San Bernardino County (SBC) Fairgrounds in Victorville, CA for Rounds 1 and 2.
Troy Cox took second in his Pro 2 truck running on Falken Wildpeak A/T3W tires, while teammate Trey Dylan took his newly built Pro-Lite to the number one spot in Round 2 to earn his first trophy of the season. As the newest member of the Cole Mamer racing team, Dylan showed that his new truck could get it done. He jumped to a 15-truck lead and led wire-to-wire. “It was a very nice way to start,” Dylan noted, “and hopefully, that momentum continues for the duration of the season.”
Falken driver Brian Trempe put his newly rebuilt 4800 Class race truck to the test this past weekend at the Ultra4 Racing Battle of the Bluegrass Event in Rush, KY, powering over the competition for his first victory in the series. The Michigan resident qualified sixth and started the race at a moderate pace. But by lap three, he had moved to the lead with one lap left and held it to the finish, running on Falken Wildpeak M/Ts.
“This is just great,” exclaimed Trempe. “The Ultra4 Racing series has some incredible events, awesome competitors and it’s so fun to be here. I knew there had to be a point in the race when I needed to put the pedal down and I did it with my Wildpeaks glued to the trail. I’m so proud of my first win in the East division.”
Meanwhile, Jesse Oliver repeated as the second-place winner in the Battle of the Bluegrass. Jesse powered his 4500-class race truck to a second-place finish for the second year in a row.
