Team Falken’s PoorBoy Racing Team Takes Second In 4600 Class At ULTRA4 West Coast Round 2

MOAB, UT – Proving the dominance of Falken Tires’ renowned Wildpeak line, the PoorBoy Racing team, competing in Round 2 of the ULTRA4 Racing Series last weekend, took Pole Position in the 4600 Class and went on to finish second at the Lasernut Western #1 in Moab, Utah.

Driver Brian McNamara and Co-driver Elliot Collins kept their newly designed #4696 Jeep racer, featuring a significantly modified stance on 60-inch axles and running on Wildpeak M/T tires, right on pace, putting together a perfect qualifying effort that placed them on the pole for the big race.

“The Jeep’s new platform had the strength and the Falken Wildpeaks the control to earn Brian, Elliot and PoorBoy Racing a strong second place finish,” stated Doug Fletcher, Falken’s Off-Road and Light Truck Supervisor. “The team had only competed in three events with the new vehicle and are just now getting familiar with its capabilities. Brian drove with purpose at Moab and everyone at Falken Tires had no doubt he would get on the podium. We celebrate the team’s performance.”

ULTRA4 Racing has created seven races held throughout the country which serve as qualifiers for the flagship race event, King of the Hammers, held every February. The series challenges drivers to compete in a wide variety of terrain from endurance desert racing to competition-style rock crawls to short course racing.

Round 3 of ULTRA4 Racing’s 2021 West Coast series will take place May 14-15, at the Lasernut Western #2 in San Felipe, Mexico, the second time teams will compete at this facility.
